Basnet, Shah contesting from Jajarkot-1
Jajarkot, November 3
CPN-Maoist Centre leader Shakti Bahadur Basnet and Nepali Congress leader Rajiv Bikram Shah are all set to compete in Jajarkot Constituency No 1 in the upcoming election. Earlier, they were also elected in the second Constituent Assembly polls, from Constituency 1 and 2.
It is speculated that there will be a tough competition between the two leaders.
Being a common candidate of the leftist alliance gives Basnet an edge, while Shah was picked by the party as its electoral candidate unanimously.
CPN-UML had finished first in the district in the recent local elections, followed by NC and CPN-MC in the second and third places respectively.
