Belle bridges installed

Kathmandu, September 28:

Nepal Army has installed two belle bridges over the Kali Gandaki river at Pokharebagar and Tiplyang along the under-construction Baglung-Mustang road.

Chief of the Army Staff Rookmangud Katwal inaugurated the belle bridges amid a function here yesterday. The belle bridges were installed over the Kali Gandaki river.

Construction of the 91-kilometre Baglung-Mustang road, which links Baglung with Jomsom, the district headquarters of Mustang, had begun eight years ago.

The bridge at Pokharebagar is 180 feet long, while the one at Tiplyang is 150 feet long.

These bridges can withstand load of 18 tonnes.

A road is being constructed along the banks of the Kali Gandaki River.

The construction of the road is expected to give a boost to trade and commerce in the area.
