Better irrigation facility

Despite being a hilly district, most of the arable land in the district has access to dependable irrigation facility. The district irrigation office, Syangja, informed that 5,315 hectares of land in the district has proper irrigation facility.
According to irrigation division of Syangja, 33 irrigation projects were concluded in the district in the last fiscal year providing 1,275 hectares of land with a dependable source of irrigation, and directly benefiting 2,856 families of the farming community.
Tapu, Pakan, Kunnika and Pipaltari irrigation projects have provided irrigation facility to 304 hectares of land. Similarly, Derathum-Changchangdi irrigation project has been providing 250 hectares of land with access to irrigation, directly benefiting 1,000 families.
The World Bank assisted irrigation project running on the riverbank of Kali Gandaki has provided irrigation facility to 1,000 hectares of land in Tyu area.
