Bhairahawa gears up with preparations for festival
Bhairahawa, October 19
Rupandehi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has intensified preparations for the Fifth Lumbini Tourism Promotion and Trade and Agriculture Festival in Bhairahawa. The festival is expected to support publicity for the Visit Nepal Year 2020 and Visit Lumbini Year.
Festival organising committee Chairperson Narayan Prasad Bhandari said the festival would be organised in the open in Anchalpur, Bhairahawa, from November 21 to December 2.
“The festival is going to be unique this year as we’ve introduced special provisions. Except public holidays, visitors will be granted free entry to the festival from 8:00am to 11:00am,” said the organising committee chair, adding the festival will serve as a model for the entire province.
The festival will feature over 400 stalls related to tourism, agriculture and trade, and will display replicas of major religious and tourism landmarks.
A main festival organising committee and 34 sub-committees have been formed. The festival is expected to draw visitors from both Nepal and India.
