Bhandari accuses government of imposing autocracy
BIRGUNJ: Chairman of National Madhes Socialist Party Sharad Singh Bhandari has accused the incumbent government of trying to impose autocracy in the nation, on Sunday.
In a press conference held in Birgunj of Parsa, Bhandari stated that the current ruling coalition is full of opportunists, adding that the democratic parties need to work together for not only themselves, but also for the common people.
He also mocked the induction of six Deputy Prime Ministers in early days of the government and stated it as a prize that was offered to the revolutionaries, who were protesting for various reason before the promulgation of new Constitution.
Bhandari also mentioned that the opening of northern border points for trade is not an alternative to Birgunj border point.
Pointing out the failure of the government to mend the ties with Tarai-based parties, he blamed the government for dividing the people in two categories. The situation will get even worse if positive talks are not held on time, he warned.
Likewise, Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Republican Chairman Raj Kishor Yadav accused the mediapersons of being unprofessional, encouraging communalism and favouring the anti-Madhes government as a whole.
