KATHMANDU: Former Ambassador Dinesh Bhattarai has been elected as Nepali Congress regional representative for the upcoming General Convention from Arghakhachi district.

He was elected unopposed as one among five representatives in open category in NC’s Village Council election held on Friday.

A retired career diplomat, Bhattarai had earlier served as a Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva as well as a foreign relations adviser to the Prime Minister.
