Bhattarai twitted sarcastically "not a big deal to cut own goat" referring to Khadka's sacking

KATHMANDU: The Naya Shakti-Party Nepal coordinator Babu Ram Bhattarai was not surprised by the sacking of Nepal Oil Corporation Chief Gopal Bahadur Khadka.

Meanwhile, former PM Dr Baburam Bhattarai twitted the leaders might be over the moon after removing Khadka from NOC top post.

However, he twitted sarcastically quoting the saying of Rajeshwor Devkota as "it's not a big deal to cut down own goat,".

Khadka remained in controversy after his political appointment to the top post as NOC chief. He was dragged into controversy after the probe committee found his involvement in the financial irregularities in the land purchase scam.

The NOC had decided to purchase land in all seven provinces to increase it storage capacity for at least 90 days.

The probe committee formed found financial irregularities in the land purchase deal in Jhapa, Chitwan and Rupandehi Districts respectively.

The team also found out the land was purchased against the government's land purchase act.

The cabinet had decided to get rid of controversial figure of Gopal Bahadur Khadka from NOC's top post yesterday.
