Bhojpur man held with animal body parts

BHOJPUR: The District Police Office, Bhojpur has arrested and made public a person with drugs and body parts of protected wild animals in Jarayotar VDC of the district on Tuesday.

Dhan Bahadur Rai (45), a permanent resident of Jarayotar-2, was arrested with a tiger hide, a peacock hide, a peacock skull and a horn.

Police also seized 600 kgs of marijuana and antique nine-eye agate Dzi prayer beads from him.

Acting on a tip-off, a team led by SI Dambar Bahadur Acharya raided his house and shed and confiscated the items, said Bhojpur DPO.

Similarly, the police also nabbed and made public two other persons involved in different criminal cases amid a press conference organised today.

Police nabbed Dorje Tamang (52), a permanent resident of Bhaisipakha, Bhojpur-2 for his involvement in an arson and Sanjeev Bishwokarma (21), a permanent resident of Bhojpur Municipality-1 for a public offence case.
