Big three ignoring statute, says Gachhadar

MAHOTTARI: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Planning and Works Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar today came down heavily on the Unified CPN-Maoist, Nepali Congress and CPN-UML for not acting swiftly to draft the constitution.

While laying foundation stone of a bridge at Gaushala, Mahottari, Gachhadar said that

the three major parties have failed to take initiatives to draft the

constitution within the stipulated time.

Gacchadar however claimed that the incumbent government will continue but added if the it failed to promulgate the constitution by May 28, Madhesh-based parties will lead the next government.

The deputy prime minister took a pot shot at the Unified CPN-Maoist saying the demand of Rs 2 million for each combatant was unacceptable.

Gacchadar also laid foundation stones of a bridge at Jangaha in Aaurahi.

Tourism Minister Sharat Singh Bhandari and State Minister for Tourism Satrudhan Singh were also present at the function.
