KATHMANDU: A person died and another sustained injuries after the motorcycle they were travelling on met with an accident in Kawasoti Municipality-16 of Nawalparasi district Monday evening, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Narayan Khanal (36) and injured as Santosh Khanal of Satghare in Kawasoti Municipality-16 of the district.

According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycle (Ba 1 Pa 8194) rammed onto a truck (Na 5 Kha 8605) in Kottandi at 6:30 pm yesterday, injuring both the rider and pillion rider.

The injured were rushed to the health facility in Bharatpur, however, motorcyclist Narayan succumbed to his injuries on the way; pillion rider Santosh is undergoing treatment in Bharatpur, informed police.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
