JANAKPURDHAM: A biker died and a pillion rider sustained critical injuries in a tractor-bike collision at Ratauli of Mahottari district.

The deceased has been identified as Shyam Prasad Thakur of Banchauri-3.

The incident occurred when the tractor (Ja 1 6788) heading towards Janakpur of Dhanusha from Banchauri of Bardiya collided head-on with the motorbike (Ja 1 Ta 8602), SP Janak

Pillion rider Suryadev Sah (61) is receiving treatment at the Janakpur Zonal Hospital.

Police said that the tractor driver fled the scene after the incident.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
