Blockade will end if PM goes to Tarai, claims Gagan Thapa

DHANKUTA: Nepali Congress Central Working Committee member and lawmaker Gagan Kumar Thapa said that the blockade imposed by India at the border points would end if the Prime Minister visited the Tarai region to convince the Madhesi folks.

At a news conference organised by the Nepal Press Union in Dhankuta today, Thapa expressed his confidence that the blockade imposed by India making Tarai agitation a basis would end if Madhesi people were convinced.

Likewise, lawmaker Thapa asked the agitating Madhesi leaders not to add pains to the people's life by carrying out agitations at the entry points as they have space to raise their voices in the Parliament too.

Leader Thapa also condemned the blockade imposed by India terming it an inhuman move.
