Blood Bank was established for the first time in District Hospital, recently.

Public and Ramechhap Municipality helped to establish the blood bank aiming to provide service to the locals.

Inaugurating the blood bank, municipality Mayor Labashree Neupane said that they had established the blood bank thinking that no people would lose their lives due to the lack of blood.

He said that the municipality had been helping the hospital in service delivery. Medical superintendent Dr Gagan Adhikari at the hospital said that the hospital administration was working hard to provide better service to the patients. He said that preparation to operate dialysis service in the hospital is under way.

Hospital Development Committee Chair Yam Pakhrin said the blood could be provided to the new mothers and injured people, with the establishment of the blood bank in the hospital.

Deputy Mayor Bala Karki, CDO Dipak Pahadi, Nepali Congress district vice-president Lekh Bahadur Karki, District Red-cross member Dhal Bikram Karki and Federation of Nepali Journalists were present.
