JHAPA: A man was found dead at Buttabari, Shaniarjun municipality-4, on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Yam Kharel, 42, of Shivasatakshi municipality-8, of the district.

Preliminary investigation showed that Kharel might have died of excessive drinking, as alcohol bottles were found near his body, DSP Khadga Bahadur Khatri of Area Police Office, Birtamode said.

The body has been sent to Mechi Zonal Hospital for post-mortem, said police.
