GAIGHAT, UDAYAPUR: A teacher at the Janata Primary School based in Triyuga-7 of Udayapur district, who had gone missing for past eight days was found dead on Friday evening.

46-year-old Jaya Bahadur Rai from Bokse area of Triyuga-10 was found dead in the Chanp Jungle in Rai Motigada, according to Udayapur District Police Office. The local herdsmen came across Rai's body while returning home in the evening and immediately informed the police.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been handed over to his relatives for carrying out the final rites, the District Police Chief Nara Bahadur KC said. A poison bottle was also recovered from the incident site beside the dead body.

Rai had started showing unusual behaviour at his home for the past 15 days. He had lost contact with his family members since the day following his son's wedding.
