Body of deceased not moved from accident site even after 18 hours
DHANGADI: The body of a man who died in a road accident has remained on the road without concern even after 18 hours.
Ram Bahadur Chaudhary (40) who was riding his motorcycle (Se 3 Pa 6376) was hit by a passenger bus (Bhe 1 Kha 1732) which was en route to Nepalgunj from Dodhari Chandani, Kanchanpur. Chaudhary lost his life on the spot in the accident which occurred at Pahalmaanpur, Ghodaghodi Municipality-10, Kailali on Sunday evening.
Kin of the deceased and locals have halted vehicle movement on the road demanding actions against the guilty. The movement which had resumed late at night was again halted on Monday morning at 8:00, informed Police Inspector Prakash Singh Karki of District Police Office, Kailali.
Maan Bahadur Chaudhary (42) who was in another bike was seriously injured in the same accident but died during treatment at Seti Zonal Hospital. The body of the deceased has been retained at the health facility.
Police Inspector Karki informed that discussions are being held between the protesting locals and concerned authorities.
