Book shortage to end in 10 days
Madhyapur Thimi, May 13:
Janak Education Materials Centre Limited said today it would make school textbooks available throughout the country by May 23.
In the face of severe book shortage across the nation, JEMCL managing director Ram Prasad Sharma said the shortage of textbooks will not last for long since JEMCL has been printing the textbooks round the clock.
Stating that JEMCL, the only body responsible for printing the textbooks for the government schools, should not be singled out for the shortage of textbooks, he claimed the students will get the textbooks in 10 days as the printing and distribution of the textbooks was going on rapidly.
JEMCL deputy managing director Ramchandra Silwal said they were printing more than 500,000 textbooks daily and the textbooks will be easily available in market within days.
The problem of book shortage would not come to an end merely by padlocking JEMCL and Sajha Publication offices, Silwal added.
