A woman has filed an FIR against her husband for allegedly raping her. The woman, aged 25, filed the FIR against her 23-year-old husband at the District Police Office yesterday.

The woman, in her FIR, has cited bite marks all over her body sustained during repeated forced sexual intercourse by her husband for the past three years. The latest rape was committed on the night of April 26, according to the FIR.

According to the woman, she was compelled to reach out to the police as she could no longer tolerate the brutal exploitation by her husband. “As forced sex caused me immense pain and he wouldn’t stop his brutality, I did not have any options other than reaching out to the authorities to report the incident,” she said.

After filing the FIR, the woman underwent a health check up and treatment at the District Hospital. Police have said the husband will be arrested and questioned. “As the victim has filed an FIR, on the basis of the FIR, we’ll arrest him and investigate the case,” said police.
