CHITWAN: Minister for Foreign Affairs Prakash Sharan Mahat on Saturday stated that BP Koirala's reconciliation policy was very significant even in the present context to make the nationality stronger.

At a seminar organised on the occasion of the 41st National Reconciliation Day by the Democratic Thought Society, Chitwan chapter, Minister Mahat stated BP's policy suggests the country should be run under one rule.

Underling that changing the society through rule of law was the need of hour, he expressed it was necessary to hold discussion on development issues rather than political matters.

Similarly, President of Nepal Women's Association Uma Regmi was of view that reconciliation policy should be brought into practice, adding that its importance has increased.

On the occasion, Nepali Congress Chitwan President Jit Narayan Shrestha, lawmaker Ram Krishna Ghimire, Central Secretary at the Democratic Thought Society Dr Ishwori Laudari, Prof Dr Devi Prasad Kandel, among others also shed lights on the importance of national reconciliation.
