The race for three key administrative positions at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) has drawn 33 applications, with the registrar's post attracting the highest number of candidates.
The institute received 17 applications for registrar, 12 for hospital director and four for rector, as it moves to fill the posts that remained vacant following the appointment of Prof Dr Smriti Karki as vice-chancellor.
Among the applicants, Dr Arun Kumar Singh and Dr Dabal Bahadur Dhami have applied for both registrar and hospital director, while Prof Dr Kajiram Adhikari has applied for both registrar and rector.
The selection process is being conducted under the BPKIHS Officials Selection and Recommendation Procedure, 2083. The procedure provides for a recommendation committee headed by the vice-chancellor.
The institute is preparing to publish a shortlist after an initial assessment of the applications. The recommendation committee will then evaluate the shortlisted candidates and proceed with recommendations for appointment.
