Brick pile collapse kills two in Dhading

DHADING: Two persons including a minor died while a brick pile collapsed at a brick kiln in Thakre village of Dhading district on Friday.

One of the labourers at the kiln Jamim Kachgar (60) from Nepalgunj of Banke and his five-year-old son Salim died after being hit by the pile at around 8:30 am today.

Both had sustained injuries in the incident, but died while being rushed to Kathmandu for further treatment, DSP Sabin Pradhan, Chief of the District Police Office, said.

The third injured has been identified as Surendra Budha (35) from Tarabang-9 of Rolpa district, police said.

He has been referred to Kathmandu after the first aid at the Dharke-based Shiva Darshan Hospital.

Of late, the number of brick kilns is increasing in the areas nearby the Prithvi Highway as authorities blocked new kilns in Kathmandu Valley.
