A bridge constructed over the Marsyangdi River has been dilapidated for want of repairs in Aanbukhairani of Tanahun district.

The bridge, which connects Tanahun with Gorkha district, is in a sorry state due to lack of repairs.

Chairman of Aanbukhairani Manakamana Motorway, Tanka Dawadi, said the bridge had received cracks and big holes following many accidents on the road. “We have frequently urged the concerned authority to take the matter seriously, but in vain,” he added.

All Nepal Football Association, Tanahun Chapter Chairman Ratna Kumar Shrestha said,” The bridge has ditches which might invite more fatal road accidents.”
