British ambassador meets Biratnagar mayor

BIRATNAGAR: British ambassador to Nepal, Richard Morris has said he would make efforts to make Biratnagar Metropolitan City a sister city of Britain.

Ambassador Morris said this during a meeting today with the Biratnagar Metropolitan City Mayor Bhim Parajuli and Deputy-Mayor Indira Karki.

 In the meeting, Mayor Parajuli remarked that the government of Province No 1 has placed education and health in priority to increase the access of the poor communities. He also said that he was committed to the development of Biratnagar and to curb unemployment, working hand-on-hand with the private sector.

On the occasion, British ambassador Morris appreciated the Biratnagar Metropolitan City for its works and the plans and wished success in accomplishing development targets in the coming days.
