PALPA:

Nepali Congress (NC) central member and former Finance Minister Mahesh Acharya on Sunday said that the government would, as in the past years, allot budget for the king.

Speaking at a press meet organised by the Palpa chapter of the Nepal Press Union, Acharya said, “Budget will be allotted to the king, like it used to be in the past years, because nothing regarding this has been mentioned in the Interim Constitution.”

“Obviously there will be some changes in the budget allotment to the palace in the changed context,” Acharya said.
