Budget session in May first week

KATHMANDU: Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal on Tuesday said the budget session of the Parliament was likely to start in the first week of May.

“Probably, we are going to call the session on May 3,” he added. The budget session will hold discussion on the government’s policy and plans, hold pre-budget discussion and present the budget as constitutionally mandated on May 29.

Dhakal also said the government would register 12 bills in the coming session. “There are around 27 bills in the Parliament and its committees now,” he said.
