Cabinet okays formation of mechanism on Chinese assistance projects

KATHMANDU: Government has approved the draft of the memorandum of understanding on establishment of a mechanism to facilitate the programmes and projects in Nepal with support from the People's Republic of China.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers held today decided to provide agreement for signing the MoU to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to Minister for Communication and Information Technology.

Likewise, the cabinet meeting has approved the Bill on Auditing to table in the Federal Parliament and also gave consensus in principle to draft a new bill on Information Technology and Public Service Broadcasting.

Similarly, the meeting has decided to slash the number of board of directors of Nepal Drinking Water Corporation from 19 to 9.
