Call for security chiefs to go

JANAKPURDHAM: Participants at an all-party meeting on Sunday demanded suspension of chiefs of local security bodies as the local administration “failed” to arrest the murderers of media entrepreneur Arun Singhaniya.

The meeting held here paid homage to Singhaniya and demanded that the culprits be brought to book at the earliest. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of CA member and Nepali Congress leader Ramsaroj Yadav. According to the secretary of NC-Dhanusa, Raj Kishor Singh, the meeting also decided to submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister that would include their demands. Representatives of the CPN-UML, UCPN-Maoist, Sadhbhawana Party and Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum also attended the meeting.
