Call for tapping potentials in agriculture, industry for prosperity of Province 2

BIRGUNJ: Concerned authorities of Province 2 have called for tapping abundance opportunities in agriculture, industry and tourism for prosperity, while stressing agriculture modernization, trade-friendly liberal policy and religious tourism.

They made such statements at a programme organised today in Birgunj by the Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) with the theme of 'Suggestion collection for devising and amending next programmes and policies for Province 2'.

On the occasion, Chief Minister of Province 2 Lal Babu Raut claimed that his government is committed to control the corruption in budget, and full budget implementation for maintaining good governance to achieve prosperity of the province. He referred to instances of misuse of development budget in the past.

Other speakers including BCCI former Presidents Ashok Baidya, Pradip Kediya, Ashok Temani, Ganesh Lath, former Vice President Subodh Gupta, Professor Aananda Yadav, industrialists Jagadhish Agrawal, Madhav Rajpal, and mayor of Birgunj Metropolitan City Bijaya Sarawagi stressed the need for stopping youths from foreign migrations by creating job opportunities back home for development.
