Call to expedite CA election process
Pokhara, December 1:
Speaker of the House of Representatives Subas Chandra Nembang today said that the Maoists should be included in the government as soon as possible.
“The government should not make delays in including the Maoists in order to create a conducive environment for the constituent assembly elections.”
Reiterating that the promulgation of a new constitution was also the goal of Jana Andolan II, Nembang said an interim statute should be promulgated and the interim legislature formed immediately. Inaugurating the first national general convention of the network of weeklies and fortnightlies here, Nembang said that the main objective of Jana Andolan II was the formation of a constituent assembly.
Saying that aspirations of Jana Andolan II will not be fulfilled until an inclusive state is formed, Nembang added that the eight parties should remain united until the aspirations are fulfilled.
The present House of Representatives has demolished the remains of autocracy by passing new Acts, namely the Military Act, Verification Act and the Citizenship Act, he said.
