Kathmandu, September 28:

Participants at a programme held here today demanded to promulgate HIV/AIDS Act to save youths from the disease.

NC’s youth leader Gagan Thapa called on the government to promulgate the Act. Addressing a programme on ‘HIV/AIDS Bill’ prepared by the forum for women, law and development, Thapa said: “It is the policy of the government whether or not to promulgate such an Act, but the policy makers should think on it.”

Miss Nepal 2005 Sugarika KC and advocate Rup Narayan Shrestha also backed the promulgation of the Act.
