Campus locked out over poll row

Nepalgunj, March 24:

ANNFSU cadres padlocked Mahendra Multiple Campus for an indefinite period today, demanding cancellation of the FSU poll results. They claimed that there were irregularities in the polls.

ANNFSU candidate Khagendra Prasad Khanal, who lost the election, has registered an appeal for the recount of votes. The ANNFSU cadres also vandalised the campus.

Khanal said, "We will not accept the poll results," adding, "The poll results should be cancelled." Claiming that they found ballet papers without the signature of the polling officer, he said, "We will intensify our protests if our demands are not met."

The election committee had declared victory of Ram Bahadur BK of ANNISU(R) in the post of FSU president on March 19.
