Caravan actor Thinle Lhondup dies

KATHMANDU: Nepali actor Thinle Lhondup, popular for his role in Caravan, died on Sunday.

Thinle was suffering from stomach cancer. He was born in Dolpa and was living in the district headquarters, Dunai.

Caravan (Himalaya) was an adventure film released in 1999 directed by French national Éric Valli. The Oscar-nominated film depicts villagers who  carry rock salt from the high plateau down to the lowlands in a caravan of yaks to trade for grain across the mountain.

He had also appeared in Nepathya's one of the music videos that was released in 2003.

Nepathya's frontman, Amrit Gurung remembered the deceased actor in his tweet as:
