Cases of depression on the rise in Dadeldhura, survey reveals

DADELDHURA: Some 500 people are found suffering from depression at six places in Dadeldhura district, according to a survey.

The number of depressed people was confirmed during a survey carried out by CMC Nepal and the District Public Health Office.

The survey was carried out at Jogbudha, Ajaymeru, Bagarkot, Nabadurga, Dewaldivyaour and Alital villages in the district.

It is revealed that the highest number of depression cases was found at Jogbudha, which stands at 253, while Alital area has the lowest number with 16 cases.

Meanwhile, suicide cases are also on the rise in the district.

The District Police Office has recorded a large number of suicide cases till the date of the current fiscal year.
