Cases filed against drivers sans licence causing accidents in Bhojpur
BHOJPUR: District Police Office (DPO), Bhojpur has filed a case against Bijay Rai of Khairang, Hatuwagadhi Rural Municipality-4 in Bhojpur district for killing a person in an accident.
In the accident that occurred on October 9, Rai (24) was driving a tempo (Ko 2 Ha 7686) without a driving licence when the vehicle hit Gurans Rai (8), also of Khairang in Hatuwagadhi-4, which claimed his life and injured four others including the driver himself. Guransh Rai died on the same day during the course of treatment.
The DPO took Bijay Rai into custody and filed the case against him after he was released from the hospital post-treatment.
Likewise, the police have filed another case against Chandra Darji (19) of Maanebhanjyang, Ramprasad Rai Rural Municipality-5 for hitting a person with a tractor and then misbehaving afterwards.
Darji was driving a tractor (Ko 2 Ta 3524) without a licence and was en route to Deurali from Chengbeni Chok when he hit Nisha Rai (16) of Bhojpur Municipality-3, police informed. Police have been investigating more remanding him into custody for the accident and on the charge of indecent behaviour.
Police Inspector Pandav Rajbhanshi told that traffic monitoring has been intensified after more accidents started occurring at the hands of drivers without driving licence.
