Cases of illegal drugs, hooliganism, crime under control in Tanahun, police claim

DAMAULI: Police in Tanahun district have claimed that the cases of illegal drugs, hooliganism and criminal activities have come under control.

In a press conference organised by Tanahun District Police Office (DPO), in Damauli, on Saturday, Police Chief at the DPO, Superintendent of Police (SP) Siddhi Bikram Shah said that police were becoming successful in controlling cases of illegal drugs, hooliganism, crime and other untoward activities.

The police chief said that police in the district were undertaking tasks as per the organisation's policy instructions.  He said, police have intensified their roles in checking murder, violence, brawl, crime and other untoward activities in the district. He added that police have been conducting round-the-clock patrol to maintain peace, security and order.

On the occasion, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shyamu Aryal said that police have a requirement for building eight new police posts and improving existing six posts to further strengthen the security.

Police Inspector Bikash Thapa, Santosh Roka among other personnel said that mediapersons could play a vital role in maintaining peace and security in the district.
