Cave diggers felicitated

Tanahun, May 5 :

Five persons, who found an ancient cave 20 years ago, were felicitated today for their exploit. The five had found the Siddha Cave, which is considered the largest in South Asia, at Bandipur-6 of Tanahun district.

Durga Bahadur Thapa, Chandra Bahadur Thapa, Narayan Kumal, late Nara Bahadur Pun and Warrent Quawadras had found the cave. Tanahun CDO Kashinath Marasini feted Durga Bahadur, Chandra Bahadur, Kumal, Nara Bahadur’s widow Parwati Pun and Quawadras at a function in Bimalnagar.

Tulsi Gurung of the Nepal Mountaineering Trainers’ Association and a French citizen Henry Sigare were also felicitated on the occasion.

CDO Marasini also opened an information centre established with a view to informing people about the cave.
