Seventy close circuit cameras have gone dysfunctional in Biratnagar Metropolitan City in Morang.

The CC cameras were installed at the cost of Rs 70 lakh in the metropolitan city four years ago. But the cameras stopped working during the road expansion project in the metropolis.

District Police Office, Morang, in coordination with Morang Business Organisation had installed 23 cameras to manage security in the busiest bazaar areas of Biratnagar Metropolitan City four years ago. The cameras became useless when the wires split in course of road expansion process.
