Ballot papers of the first phase of provincial and parliamentary polls will be kept under CCTV surveillance, in Dhading.

Two representatives, one each from the left alliance and the democratic alliance, will be stationed at the site where the ballot papers are kept. Likewise, three locks — one each from the two alliances and one from the local administration — will be placed on the door of the room where the ballot papers are kept.

Whereas ballot papers from Constituency No 1 will be kept at the election officer’s office and those from Constituency No 2 will be kept at the chief returning officer’s office.

Meanwhile, preparations are being made to keep ballot papers in Panchthar under the vigil of police personnel and representatives of political parties.

Ballot papers collected from all voting centres and voting stations have been kept at Panchthar Community Library and Employees’ Reconciliation Centre.
