CEHURDES urges RNA to punish ‘guilty’ soldiers

Kathmandu, August 3:

Urging the Royal Nepali Army (RNA) to conduct an investigation into ‘harassment’ of media persons by security personnel in Dailekh, the Centre for Human Rights and Democratic Studies (CEHURDES) urged the RNA on Wednesday to punish the guilty. On July 31, the RNA had summoned three Dailekh-based journalists in connection with a news published in a daily on July 20, in which the RNA was accused of using minors as spies. The RNA had summoned reporters of other dailies and an INSEC representative to their barracks at the district headquarters.
