Chand led CPN-M to revive people’s govt

Kathmandu, May 20

General Secretary of CPN-Maoist Netra Bikram Chand today said his party would revive the people’s government and people’s courts at the local level as the new constitution was promulgated without consulting his party.

Chand’s statement comes a day after 10 Maoist parties merged to form CPN Maoist Centre under the leadership of Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Addressing a mass gathering at Khulla Manch after taking our a rally today, Chand said his party would begin a campaign against black-marketing and corruption from tomorrow.

He also claimed that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was plotting to frame Maoist leaders and cadres on false charges.

He said some Maoist leaders had deviated from the original Maoist ideology and therefore the leaders, including Pushpa Kamal Dahal, were not real Maoists.

Leaders, including Dharmendra Bastola, Ekraj Bhandari, Khadga Bahadur Biswokarma and Convener of the Communist Nucleus Party Hemanta Prakash Oli also addressed the mass gathering.
