Change way of doing things: Minister Baskota

Kavre, October 23

Minister of Information and Communications Gokul Prasad Baskota today asked people’s representatives to change their modus operandi to usher in change in the country.

Addressing a programme organised by Lions Club of Kavrepalanchowk in Banepa, Minister Baskota said he was fed up with some people’s representatives. “The country will not change simply by singing a song. You have to change your modus operandi,” he added.

Minister Baskota held that criminalisation of politics and corruption in leadership were unacceptable. “Burning people alive by dumping them in a brick kiln and sexually harassing women are not excusable,” Baskota stated. He pledged that those guilty of grave crimes such as sexual harassment and murder would not be spared at any cost. He claimed that no one was above the law and the guilty, regardless of their connections, would not go unpunished.

He asked media to pay special attention to criminalisation of politics and corruption of the leadership. He reiterated that the incumbent government was determined to crack down on the corrupt leaders.
