Change working style, says Gagan Thapa

POKHARA:  Nepali Congress youth leader Gagan Thapa on Sunday stressed the need for changing the working style of political leadership. Speaking at a function in Pokhara, Thapa said leaders were least concerned about the sufferings of the people. “The leaders must respect the aspirations of the people and hand over leadership to the new generation,” he said. No party or leader can function as they did in the past, he claimed. Thapa argued that the state had failed to maintain good governance due to corruption. “There might be a handful of honest and responsible government employees, but they have been overshadowed. Corruption has become the biggest scourge,” he said.
