CJ directs chief judges of all seven high courts

KATHMANDU: Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana has directed chief judges of all seven high courts on Monday to work aiming to enhance people's faith towards the judiciary.

CJ Rana gave such directive to the chief judges of all seven high courts and chiefs of the benches under the high court at an interaction programme organised at the Supreme Court. "The concept of independent and efficient judiciary should be put on the right track. The chief judges should pay attention to their duties rather than the rights to address the fingers pointed towards the court," Rana added.

He also directed the judges not to commit any mistake in the area to strengthen the court adding that only case clearance cannot change the perception towards the judiciary.

Rana said that the judicial council and he himself would minutely observe if there were flaws in the work execution from the judges.

Likewise, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal said that it was necessary to ensure trust that court offers justice to the justice seekers and pledged full support from the government to strengthen the judiciary.

Also speaking at the same programme, Supreme Court Justice Dipak Kumar Karki urged all to unite and work to do away with the misconception on the judiciary.
