Child frees himself from clutches of abductors

MAHOTTARI: A child of Dhungrekhola-9 in Sarlahi has reportedly managed to free himself from the clutches of abductors.

Kuse Kumar, son of Rajendra Mahato, said that four persons, who came on two motorcycles, took him this morning under the pretext that his mother was admitted to a hospital at Sukkhepokhari.

Kuse Kumar was at his school when the incident occurred.

He said that they (the abductors) took him to a forest in Sarlahi and blindfolded him.

"I took an opportunity to flee when they were busy in conservation," the child said.

"The abductors followed me after they knew that I escaped," he said.

Later, the child met a woman collecting firewood in the forest and she removed the blindfold.

"And I reached the road, took a bus to Bardibas in Mahottari," the child said.

Local people after knowing about the incident informed police, he said.

Sub Inspector Birendra Kumar Singh of the Area Police Office, Bardibas said that the child is safe now.
