CHITWAN: A child died in a tractor accident at Parsa Bazaar of Chitwan district on Monday.

According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the deceased has been identified as Prashant Pokharel (14).

The incident occurred when the tractor (Na 4 Ta 7191) heading towards Parsa Bazaar from Jitpur fell some 200 metres down the road at around 9 pm yesterday, police said.

Pokhara, who was critically injured in the incident, breathed his last on the way to a hospital in Bharatpur, police informed.

Police said that they have impounded the vehicle and arrested its driver for investigation.
