Two-year-old Hom Bahadur Tamling, son of Prem Tamling of Angkhop -1, died when fire engulfed his house. Four houses were destroyed in the incident in Angkhop VDC on Friday. Hom Bahadur’s parents were out working in the field at the time of mishap. The villagers had pulled him out of the house but he died on the way to Damak-based Amda Hospital. The fire spread to the houses of Prem Tamling, Ran Bahadur, Tek Bahadur and Dal Bahadur Tamling, police said. Property worth Rs 8 lakhs was damaged in the fire. — HNS
