KATHMANDU: A child died after a motorbike hit him in Birendranagar-1 of Surkhet district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as 3-year-old Anupam Sunar, son of local Karna Bahadur Sunar.

The incident took place at around 8:45 today.

Critically injured in the incident, Anupam breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Regional Hospital in Surkhet.

Police said that they have impounded the two-wheeler (Bhe 6 Pa 2245) and arrested its rider for investigation.
