Child reform home on the anvil
Biratnagar, November 21:
The government is soon establishing a child reform home in Biratnagar for the first time in Nepal.
According to Director of the Central Child Welfare Committee Dharma Raj Shrestha, some 50
children, charged with different child delinquencies, will be kept, meeting the international standard at the home.
The construction of the home will start from this month, he added.
The government has allocated Rs 25 million for the construction of a 25-room home, to be completed within three years, said Shrestha.
The home will provide necessary counselling and treatment to the children. It will also organise different creative activities to improve the behaviour of the children.
