KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 3

Children under the age of five are currently receiving Vitamin 'A' and deworming tablets nationwide, spanning today and tomorrow.

The Ministry of Health and Population's National Vitamin 'A' program is leading the effort to administer these supplements.

Dr. Abhiyan Gautam, Chief of the Child Health and Immunization Section at the Department of Health Services, mentioned that children aged six months to five years will receive Vitamin 'A' and deworming tablets from women health volunteers deployed across the country.

The first phase of the Vitamin 'A' campaign, originally scheduled for October 19 and 20, is being implemented now due to the postponement during October's Dashain vacation.

Approximately 2.7 million children will receive Vitamin 'A' and deworming tablets, benefitting 2.4 million children.
