JAJARKOT: The district is facing acute shortage of BCG vaccine at a time when preparations are afoot to declare the district as the district with complete vaccination.

With the shortage of BCG vaccine, newborns are deprived of vaccination. Although the health posts in remote VDCs in the district are demanding more vaccines from the concerned bodies, the vaccines are not supplied by the District Public Health Office, said vaccine superintendent of Regional Office Ram Pukar Shah.

He also said that the vaccination campaign is also affected due to the shortage of paramedics at the health posts.
